    Thanks for your comment on the article "PETA and Feminism" your opinions are always welcome on the blog. I would love if you gave an argument to the authors opinions rather than calling names, elevating the level of discourse about this issue would serve us all well. Please feel free to post your response to the article and perhaps we could publish your counter arguement.

    I don't agree, there are many vegan eco-feminists who have problems with PeTA's tactics. The woman is a piece of meat figuratively, presented for our consumption. It pits feminism against speciesism, which is why I have a big problem with PeTA. Vegans of Color blog has a good number of well-written articles on the topic that I highly recommend.

    Naked as virtue? They say themselves they do it because sex sells. There's a reason you won't see a fat, naked woman or any other body not considered fit for consumption. It's not the symbolism of nudity, it's "sex sells".

    Sex certainly sells, but there are complimentary ways of selling with sex and derogatory ones. This is probably the most complimentary way I've seen in our culture.
